when i commenced this blog, it was meant to be self-centered, pun intended.
the blog is to be a certain self reminder tool for me: the notes are all addressed to my “Self”, my nafs. my main audience is the “i” in me, hence the self-centeredness.
on the other hand, i think there are entries that can be of some interest to others like the arabic morphology/grammar notes, qasida, biograpies, etc.
what i’m trying to say is if certain entries are somewhat incomprehensible or even sound harsh, please don’t take offence. they are addressed specifically to me.
as for the translations of some arabic texts, the ones by my own are only for my learning purpose, with the hope that a kind reader might want to correct or improve them. be aware that they can be outright wrong.
Assalem Aleykum,
As a Dutch Moslim living in a western country I am touched by your block. it’s reassuring to see that I am not the only one who is trying to find his way to Allah.
May Allah guide us all.
Raoef
wa`alaykum as-salaam sidi raoef,
alhamdulillah, if there are benefits to others in this blog, it is owing to the gems by the masters i happen to encounter.
there is a profound saying that goes like “your seeking Allah is in reality Allah seeking you”.
we just have to have faith we *will* get there some day, insyaAllah.

Jazak Allah!
may allah guide us all to the right path
